Rainy Day

What do you on a Rainy day with no furniture, TV, Internet, or any other conveniences of modern technology?  Slide down the stairs of course!! The kids put blankets on the stairs and slid for hours. 

This probably sounds really dangerous, so let me explain our house some.  It has four different levels.  The bottom is an unfinished basement (wonderful storage space!), off the garage we have a living area, then on the third level we have the kitchen, dining area, and den. The top level has the 3 bedrooms and bathroom.  As you guessed our stairs are not like the staircases at home, they are only about 9 stairs.


Now with that background info out of the way, the kids had a wonderful time.  They wrapped pillows around their backs (you will see Blake helping Kayla do this in the top right), stuffed socks in the backs of their pants for fun (you can notice this in the picture to the right), and slid more.  They got their daddy to join in and the puppies too! Beau had fun, but poor Winston was not so sure about the situation. 

In the last few pictures you will see they both grabbed their daddy to pull him down and they finally got him moving! He even had fun as you can tell from his smile in the picture at the bottom.  I was laughing so much, so some of these pictures might not be the best.  Sorry! I do think everyone can tell that it was a day full of laughter to say the least!
